PROJECT OVERVIEW
Size Genie is a platform for retailers that helps users determine their personalized fit and size of clothing being sold online. The app works across a mobile app and web browser extension.
This project made it to SemiFinals in the 2023 Hult Prize Competition, which is an annual global competition that challenges students to tackle some of the world’s most pressing social issues through entrepreneurship.

THE CHALLENGE
The fashion industry is major culprit in the global climate crisis, with every step of the production, consumption, and disposal of clothing contributing to environmental and social issues. Specifically, the surge in online shopping and frequent product returns highlights a concerning trend of overconsumption and increased waste.
THE GOAL
Our team decided to tackle this issue by providing a practical and effective solution for a prevalent problem - high rates of returns due to sizing uncertainty in online shopping.
THE SOLUTION
Size genie is a platform for retailers that helps users determine their personalized fit and size of clothing being sold online. The application works across a mobile app and web browser extension. With the implementation of 3D scanning technology, Size Genie collects detailed data on individual measurements and accurately recommends tailored sizes.
